Phil really is something "special" or "exceptional", but not in the positive meaning of the word. He actually put in his schedule an explanation of Daylight savings and that means that his streams start an hour "later".

Phil's self-importance is absolutely staggering, he feels the need to explain Daylight savings so people don't miss HIS streams, it's really something else.

His CoD stream though....

There was so much salt, so much anger and rage. He ragequit so many online games, he was so pissed off, it was glorious, and a classical Phil performance. And on the topic of self-importance...

See, Phil was complaining that trolls found a way, to fuck over his lobbies. People could leave/join, meaning that sometimes games wont start. This isn't a small issue (it's literally a 1% issue) to our boy, oh no. See, Phil believes that his "detractors" are going out of their way to put him out of business (remember this, it will be important later), so much, that he is convinced that these people will go out and buy CoD (so waste 60 dollars) to then just fuck with him in lobbies, not playing the game themselves. This is what he believes.

Then, he started raging on the devs (true to form) and he believes that the people who made matchmaking the way it is, should not have jobs. Yes, he scolded people for messing with his "job", but he is fine with people losing their jobs over a perceived slight.

Chat was (why I don't know), trying to help him. Lots of people posted suggestions and solutions to Phil's problems, and some were really fucking easy to pull off (like turn your screen black if you don't want people stream sniping you in lobbies). Do you think that Phil followed these suggestions? Do you think that Phil thanked his viewers for helping him out?

Phil was going absolute ham on his viewers for trying to help him out. They were idiots, and morons, and had no idea how the game works. He even was tweeting to Infinity Ward around 2am his time to bitch about the matchmaking (even though, again, it is a 1% issue and even easier remedied).

Everything just seemed to point to Phil absolutely hating the game (and lets be honest here, Phil is dogshit at shooters, his reactions are too slow, his aim is fucking awful), so he just wants an excuses to not play it anymore, and he already said that he will play the game less or not at all, till these issues get resolved (once again, so many helpful hints and suggestions pissed away and his viewers berated for it).

In other news, Phil is picking up Death Stranding. This is going to be... something. From what I have seen (and I don't mean this is a negative), the gameplay itself seems like it's a walking simulator, with a HEAVY emphasis on the story with cut-scenes. This by no means is bad, but that means that when there is actual gameplay, not much will be happening on screen while our hero will be going from A to B, so he'll have to keep the conversation with chat going himself. He already said that this game will be a "chill stream" game. So expect a lot of bitching at his viewers for not "interacting" with him.

Also, I am taking bets as to how long it'll take before Phil starts bitching at Kojima. My guess? During the opening credits when Kojima's name appears.

When is the last time he's had any kind of positive momentum? This whole year has been one unending narrative about the worst financial crisis of his life. He hates almost everything he plays, he's constantly ranting about detractors, he berates chat for not making his stream entertaining, and even his own wedding couldn't improve his mood for any length of time. I realize a lot of this is just Phil being Phil, but it seems to me as if 2019 has been by far the worst year of his career as a content creator, and the unfortunate thing for him is that there are no signs that anything will improve.

So, in other words, it's just Phil being Phil. If he actually cared about playing Modern Warfare, which he doesn't since he obviously hates the game (and is absolutely horrid at it from the sneak peeks I've seen of him), he'd have to put in the effort to shoo away the trolls, but we know that isn't happening. As someone pointed out, either here or on Twitter/Youtube, you could pretty much substitute any CoD game with Phil's commentary and you wouldn't know what game he was actually playing.

Eh, at this point I don't give a fuck about Twitch's ToS anymore. They have been hypocritical about it for the last few years, and Phil has been able to get away with so much, that I truly believe it doesn't matter anymore.

Rather, I have him continue this way, the more he antagonizes his viewers, the less inclined they'll be to show up and "contribute". Sure, it might take a while for long time fans and whales to drop, but the ship is sinking, and instead of plugging holes, Phil is making news ones. He is on a downward decline. A slow one to be sure, but he is going down.

Again, on his Twitter, he felt the need to explain that his streams start an hour later. This is absolute bullshit, and only applies to people who actually would forget to set back their clocks, because his streams actually just start at the same fucking time.

The fact that he thinks so much of himself that he feels the need to explain goddamn Daylight Savings to his viewers is both hilarious and perplexing. But I suppose that is in the narcissist's nature. Which I find endlessly interesting.

I don't know who he's aiming his DST messages at. I actually live in a province that doesn't observe DST, and I can tell you that the people here are well aware that DST is happening since it means that everything outside of the province (TV show times, business hours, etc.) is now at a different time. I suppose he figures his viewers are too stupid to figure this stuff out on their own, but even so, there are only a handful of areas in North America and Europe that don't obverse DST.

It's one thing to think you know everything, it's another to get it wrong.

On the whole Daylights Saving, he got it wrong to boot.

Last week, in Europe, our DST started. This didn't mean that his streams started earlier or later, his streams still started at 10:15am HIS time. Now that DST has started in the US, his streams STILL start at 10:15am, not an hour later. He really struggles with abstract concepts like these. If you pay attention, every time he updates the leaderboards, he'll make small mathematical errors. Adding simple numbers result in errors, and sometimes even fucking require calculators.

People were suggesting game for Phil to play during his chill stream, now that DQB2 has been concluded. 2 suggestions among these were Overwatch, and Team Fortress 2.

Phil said that Overwatch is too old, and his PC cannot handle Team Fortress 2.

For the record, Overwatch is still very VERY much active, and he has streamed Team Fortress 2 in the past. Also worth noting is that TF2 is free to play, so it wouldn't cost Phil anything to pick up and play it, and he already owns Overwatch. He could literally fill his "chill stream" slot, and not spend a dime.

This is the same man that cries poor, that will ask for 500 dollars the DAY after he was begging for 1800 dollars. He'll say he doesn't have money for anything, but shoots down suggestion that don't cost him any money, and instead will buy a game like Death Stranding, which we all know is going to be a dud: There is going to be A LOT of dead air if there aren't any cutscences playing. And as amazing as Phil is at streaming, he will rely on his viewers to keep the conversation going instead of, you know, actually engage his audience. Expect bitching and moaning about slow streams and low contributions.

All while crying poor, even though his viewers have given him TONS of viable suggestions with things they would like to see (which would mean that he would play what people would want to see, which would be good for his income).

I swear, Phil is being contrarian just to be contrarian. To prove this point, Phil has made a spectacle out himself in the past shitting over every game that had Kojima's name, hell, he even shat all over Konami games. But now, he wants you to believe he has changed and is actually hyped for Death Stranding.

Again, taking bets for how long it takes for him to go back on his word (because, you know, he has matured), and start shitting over Kojima again. My bet: as soon as Kojima's name pops up in the opening credits.

Expect A LOT of maturity during the stream given the subject of the game and the setting.

I loooooove the detractor videos that slow down skirmishes when they happen. Often times you'll see Phil reacting way too late/slow, starts shooting when his crosshair isn't even on his opponent so he needs to adjust aim WHILE handling recoil, and still wonders why most people can still beat him.

He loves saying "I shot first" but that doesn't fucking matter if you are shredding air.

And this is also why I love his reasoning he never watches kill cams, because "that didn't happen on his screen". Because we all know thst the kill cam exposes him completely.

CoD brings to light how pathetically fragile his ego is. He is never wrong, he never makes a mistake, everyone and everything is to blame.... except him.

As an added bonus, loving the Wings memes that pop up. "Did you appear as offline" being an absolute classic.

Oh and Phil felt the need to shit all over Wings, though Wings never talks about, let alone, interact with Phil. He is so fucking toxic.

That means he is actively going to lie and hide donations. His reasoning? Troll tips are the most likely to get refunded. But Phil himself claimed he never loses these disputes.

He is casually hiding how much money he is making and acting like it's no big deal.

I really fucking hope people will no longer make troll.tips, because they will be completely fucking ignored. And I hope even more that this will backfire. Phil is openly admitting obfuscating his income.

Isolating himself may be the worst thing that's happened to him since he started making videos. The only people he interacts with in real life are a wife with whom he seems to have no chemistry and a few cashiers and servers on his day off. He is otherwise alone for most of his waking hours, dealing only with trolls and the people he must beg for money every day. You can see how much this isolation has affected him: like you said, he doesn't even know how to act like a human being anymore. And, as with most of his problems, this is something he created by himself.

Oh and the fact how toxic he is to other streamers is likely another reason why he doesn't qualify. He once again took it upon himself to shit all over Ninja, but this time also included Shroud. Saying there are only doing it for the money. This is the same guy who refuses to play certain games unless they are given to him. The same guy who asked for 1800 dollars in a week, only to ask another 500 a day later. There is no level Phil won't sink to, if it makes him money.

Also, both Shroud and Ninja have said to prefer Mixer, for the freedom they are getting there. Sure, the money is a bonus, but they are in it for the long haul.

Phil is just pissed because he would love an offer like that. If he'd get even a fucking dollar extra for it, he'd move to Mixer in a heartbeat.

He will eventually move to Mixer, but as always, it will be to late.

I'm guessing you're the kind of person that thinks Disney pays people off and only lets certain people into screenings. I assure you studios and companies don't really care. If they have a good product that will almost surely open it up to as many people as possible that want to cover it

I know we are way too early into the thread, but I vote for this as the next topic title: Phil of Duty/Call of Phil: Modern Wellfare. Love it.

What I enjoy the most about the whole Sonic and Mario Olympics game, is that it is all Phil's own fault, you tell so many lies, it becomes impossible to keep them all straight.

If it's not a review copy, then Phil lied to cover up barely playing a 60 dollar game for an hour. Meaning he pissed away 60 bucks, while being in the worst financial situation of his life.

But if it is a review copy (and a lot of signs seem to point that way), the implications are far worse. He was asking for money to buy said game, while also getting the game for free. Meaning that he was outright scamming his viewers for money. He also has been saying (lying, then) for years that he can't get sponsored streams/review copies, because his stream is so "toxic". This will also cause people yo be way more wary when Phil starts begging for money, since they now know he isn't truthful about what he is asking money for.

But if this indeed is a review copy (from an unnamed source no less), it begs the question, how many more games has he recieved free copies off.

And it doesn't matter which it is (either he is lying about it being a review copy, or it is actually the truth), because it makes him look bad no matter which way you slice it. He is going to be his own undoing; between all the lies he constantly tells, his unwillingness to improve his financial situation, constantly shitting all over his viewers and being completely untrust worthy, he doesn't have anything to look out for.

When the well dries up, there is nowhere to flee to, no one to blame: except himself. We know he will blame everyone who ever said as much a negative word to him (because that is how narcissists opperate), but everything, EVERYTHING, is his own doing. Including this.

I thought the FTC required you to disclose if you're sponsored or had a free copy of a game provided to you by the publisher/dev. I pretty much see this all the time in reviews, with fine print saying that the game was provided by the publisher/developer if it was a review copy.

Phil is extra salty today. After berating his fans for dredging up history (what is in the past in the past), he is now pissed off for people not remembering the past.

He was talking about betrayal. And then started banning people mentioning Rambo, because Phil never said that name. Only he literally 5 minutes before that said he felt betrayed by Rambo.

This fucking piece of shit can't even decide which lies to stick to. He scammed his friends out of money, and when they tried to be the bigger people wanting to ket bygones be bygones, Phil now feels betrayed by them.

Also, Phil got barely any "contributions" previous stream, and lost a 7 month subscriber. See, after he ragequit Sonic/Mario, he switched to Outer Worlds, while chat was asking for CoD. The person banned being one of them.

Phil now has, after his shitty stream last night, not a dollar to his name. Bills need to clear, but Twitch money isn't due for a week. Now people might be tapped out, because of the 2300 dollars recently, or (wishful thinking) they are starting to get fed up with Phil's bullshit.

You'd have to probably pay someone to sit through an entire stream of his in order to count. I know I couldn't stomach more than two minutes of his stream, even if I want to badly see his downward spiral.

Theory time.

Last year, E7 popped up dropping HUGE amounts of money on Phil. Thr year before that, Tut did the same thing. Are we due for another random whale showing up around the hollidays?

Phil is a scumbag, everything he does proves this, including not counting off screen donations. The only thing we can hope for is people slowly waking up. The recent Olympics mini arc at least cost Phil a few supporters.

There is little use going into detail about most incident, like the Jasper reveal (Phil had a feeling someone might drop in and be "generous", though most people agree the 1k donations from Jeff was pre-planned), the wedding, etc. Phil lies as he breathes, which is constantly.

Just assume that he lies about everything, don't provoke him, don't throw theories at him or try to expose him. Just wait, and watch him fail because he loses control over the narritive he himself has created. The Sonic/Mario thing being a prime example.

Just let Phil be, leave him to his own devices, and I promise you: he will fuck up spectecularly on his own.

As much as I believe Phil deserves to fail, it's not going to happen any time soon. I would say that 2019 has easily been his worst year in terms of quality, effort, and general attitude, yet contributions are still strong. His core group of supporters, the ones who show up to drop the big tips, have shown that they will stick by him no matter what. Sure, one or two might abandon him over some controversy, but there are always more waiting to take their place. At this rate, he could easily stream for another ten or fifteen years.
