For those who got into gaming as a kid, which I assume is probably most of us here on CE. :)

Mine is the time I was having trouble with Wind Waker and I asked my mom to help me with the Wind Temple (I was maybe 7...?) and I wanted to quit out of frustration.

At that point it had been hours (lol) and she wasn't going to let me quit until I finished. It was maybe 1am until I completed it... but I did it!

1-Watching my brother (R.I.P.) play and finish Super Castlevania IV in one sitting while i was recording.
2-Gathering friends over my place for Samurai Shodown II and KOF 95 sessions.
3- Virtual On Oratorio Tangram. Just... everything. The most perfect game I've ever played.

The first time my grandmother handed me the N64 controller so she could make dinner.
Beat Ghoma while I get the meatloaf ready.

My friends and I playing Phantasie in two teams, each on a Commodore 64 a couple houses apart. Each team had one guy on mapping duty and the other on keyboard.

Watching my sister play the PS1 Tomb Raiders.

Seeing the Luigi's Mansion demo at a gamestop and being impressed with the difference in graphics compared to the N64.

Being able to play an N64 game (Mario 64 DS) on a portable console for the first time.

1.) My first time playing Dragon Warrior 3 when my brother put NESticle on our computer.
2.) My brother getting King of Dragons for me on my birthday, and then playing the shit out of it.
3.) Renting Megaman X regularly.
4.) My brother saying I couldn't play his NES, and a family friend's son sneaking me in his room to play MC Kids.

Just playing NES, SNES, Genesis games with all the neighborhood kids. There was no need to own all the games because you could just run over to someone else's house and play it. We weren't overly critical back then, so we just enjoyed the hell out of almost everything.

Bringing my Gamecube over to my friend's house and playing all sorts of games: Smash, NFL Street, SA2B

I think its pretty neat that yall have also had gaming moms. My dad was neeeever into gaming when I was growing up but my mom was and still is.

My dad ran a variety store and worked crazy hours so we didnt spend that much time together. When I was pretty young he bought me and my sister a PS1 for Christmas one year and when he closed the store over christmas and new years that one year him and I played crash bandicoot warped and twisted metal 2 together for days. It was actually a really nice bonding moment and we didnt get alot of those.

I played NBA Jam with one of my best friends a good bit, and he never beat me even once. One time, with less than a second left, he hit a shot to go up by two. I hit a full court shot off the inbound to beat him and he lost it. Threw his controller and started swearing up a storm. We were at his house and his mom heard him and she beat the shit out of him with a wooden spoon and grounded him.

I have tons of memories. @_@ Here's a few of my earliest ones.

- I was 5 when my older sister (5 years older than me) took me to visit my aunt's new apartment when she moved in with her then-boyfriend. I brought my favorite action figure and Hot Wheels car along to play with (completely oblivious to what a videogame was) just in case I got bored. A few moments after we arrived my sister noticed a black box and asked my aunt what kind of VCR that was, which then my aunt responded: "Oh that? Yeah, it's his Sega Genesis. Wanna try it?" She turned it on and a series of images caught our eyes and we were blown away. It was Streets of Rage 2. My sister and I were gamers ever since that day.

- My first rage-quit or, at the very least my first understanding of it, was when I died for the second time reaching the last Dr. Robotnic boss fight in Sonic 2 at 6 years old. It was also my first pseudo speedrun trying to get back to him before dinner. When I finaly reached his fat ass again, I yelled so that my parents could watch me destroy his ass. My sister was cheering me on and giving me tips. I felt my heart beating faster and faster and the nerves getting the best of me every time I dodged his stupid spiky robotic fists. I don't remember how I beat him, but all I can recall was him catching up in flames and exploded. My sister hugged my while my dad and mom went nuts telling me they knew I could do it. I remember doing this Power Ranger victory stance and posed for the Kodak frame. lol It's in our photo album.

My mom loved those kinds of games. She was really into the Zelda series as well until Ocarina of Time, which she couldn't quite get the hang of.

Gosh, it's difficult. So many good memories.

Since most of my gaming was done solo, it was probably when I played Ken Griffey Baseball on the SNES with my dad, trading off as we went. :)

My favorite gaming memory from recent memory, though, is playing after work with my work friends. My boss doesn't play games much at all, but we got her to play Snipperclips and she was cracking the hell up at the silly faces Snip and Clip made. Also, she was laughing at me saying things nonchalantly such as "jump on me" or "cut me in half".

Too many to really list, but one that always sticks out is the first time my best friend and I rented Earthbound.

The rental store actually gave you the big guide with the game so I was staying the night at his house as we'd take turns playing. In the guide it says to visit the local arcade to play the latest game of Killer Instinct (I think that was the game mentioned). We spent forever trying to figure out how to play it, but obviously you couldn't
