No idea how they'll handle Megas when Gen 6 arrives next year or whatever, but Banette does get a mega, and I imagine it'll involve candies somehow, so you might end up needing them eventually lol. It'd be great if they were ballsy enough to just let you permanently evolve a Pokemon to its mega form, but I doubt it. On the other hand, having it work just like the main games where you can only do it once per battle would be a pain in the ass with how PoGo works. Lotta people out playing, it was like a double length Community Day. Got King Reggie and finally finished that damn research for 50 psychic/steel Pokemon in the other special research.
