AEW was good this week. The Elite vs Hybrid 3 match was best by far, but top to bottom the card was fun. First women's match by AEW that was actually good was nice.

Hope they recover after the world series.

I wonder if breakdown of where the viewers are makes it make more sense. Like if Smackdown viewership is disproportionately in rural areas that more often don't have FS1. I dunno.

Also possible that Smackdown viewers don't pay good attention to the show and didn't absorb where it got moved to, or decided to stick with the Baseball that was important enough to depose Smackdown.

Or sure they're just dumb works too.

I've been working my way through newLegacy's career mode and it looks like it has some cool ideas

so hey what are the odds this means the Saudi deal is going south? and how screwed would WWE be without the blood money? I keep hearing how we should be rooting for everybody but I feel like the industry would be in a better place if AEW and maybe NJPW and other feds took a big ol' slice out of WWE at least >_>

If it werent for the new TV deals, they would be screwed in the sense that theyd be breaking even every quarter, plus or minus $10 million. It would still take years to erode things to the level of truly dire though.

Like you can see Q1 this year they lost $7 million, and Q3 they made $5 million, both quarters with no Saudi shows and under the old TV deals. When youre dealing with a billion dollar company, that sort of flux wont kill you if you dont go any lower.

But with the new TV deals, theyre set to be profitable 5 years even if the Saudi money goes away. Fox is paying SO MUCH for SD.

God there is so much happening right now between this Saudi shit, possible insider trading by WWE top brass before the Q3 report dropped, and Joey Mercury completely blowing up ROH and their awful awful talent relations
