I have no been to this place yet, but its one of those inside a shopping center places. Not too big, the reviews look good. But 56 bucks for 10 pieces of sushi and a singe roll seems a little high if you ask me. More so since its one of those you don't know what you are getting.

I got a sushi boat last week for $52. It came with 2 sushi rolls, 6 pieces of nigiri, 6 pieces of sashimi, 2 gyoza, and 2 fried scallops. They also gave me another free half roll towards the end. The boat I got specifically was the chef's choice, so I didn't get to pick anything either (aside from the spicy tuna roll that was boring, the chef had good taste).

So yeah, a little high for what you're getting, maybe?

Yeah, but they do have some stuff on the menu that most sushi places dont carry. So I guess the "rare fish" could make up for it in cost. I asked them to send me a picture of a sample Kings Plate as i am sure they have one for marketing. But wont hear back until they open.

I don't even bother with expensive sushi restaurants. Kaitenzushi (those conveyer belt places) are tasty enough and you can easily get full off of $10.

So yeah, $56 for 10 pieces doesn't sound like that great of a deal unless you're some kind of sushi connoisseur who can't stand lower-quality stuff.

I am not cheating out on a set. But for 50 dollars I can go to a brazian steak house, get treated like a king and have all the steak I can eat. This is 10 pieces of sushi and a single roll.

You have no idea how much I make. And I spent more on the watch on my wrist then I did on Star Citizen. You shouldn't be angry with some one because they have a different lifestyle than your own. If you dont like your situation, change it.

To be honest I would rate most Brazilian steak houses higher. Like I mention, this particular place is in a shopping center between a waxing center and a "anti aging" place. The Brazilian steak house I go to is a stand a lone building, valet parking, multiple wait staff for small groups of tables, very good quality steak that is literally all you can eat and its 50 dollars a person. So it is kinda hard to think this plate is comparable.

I am curious. I never seen a bundle that pricey at a sushi place outside of NY or LA. Plus I am sorta upset with my current sushi place as the owner and head chef had a disagreement that resulted in the chef leaving. Not sure where he went yet. But I need to find a new sushi place.

Its spicy tuna as the base, tofu skin on top, avocado and a sweet and spicy house sauce. Super tasty"

His first post wasnt that bad. Yet it sort of sounds like you insulted him and the food he eats. Then insulted his lifestyle, assuming it was bad. Though, thats because he talk about you wasting money on that game or whatever. But that was after you insulted what food he likes. And claimed it was low quality. Also, some watches are insanely expensive. So saying you spent more on your watch doesnt mean much... Just saying...

Also, you asked for peoples opinions on if it was a good deal. He gave you an answer, which then made you insult him...

Sarcasthma did(does?) live in Japan iirc so I imagine he knows a thing or two about decent sushi

All he did was point out that you can get good food without breaking the bank on something overpriced and you responded with a snide reply about how some people actually care about taste

If you want to pay more for what you consider to be gourmet food then more power to you, but dont make a topic asking if its a good deal and then act rude when someone doesnt think it is

Really depends on the quality I'd say which for me is not easy to tell from photos alone. To kinda compare apples to apples, I think a full course meal at three-Michelin-starred restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro is $300. Though to put this into further perspective, my cousin thought the quality of food at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant is worth the money but the increase in cost to a three-Michelin-starred restaurant wasn't worth difference in quality.

But yeah, I still live in Japan. I'm not all that knowledgable about sushi and I don't know what the quality of kaitenzushi places in the States is like, but I can confirm that the ones here serve actual food.

Thats a terrible price. Even here I can get the same for fifteen dollars. The conveyor belt places Sarcasthma mentioned charge usually 100 (less than USD $1) for two pieces. But then youd have to be over there.
