If it always being hot and dry (to the point you may have constant nosebleeds without a humidifier) and dusty and brown with barely a damn tree for miles plus scorpions doesn't bother you, New Mexico is kind of nifty. Albuquerque has a very alien feel to it. And New Mexican food is something special. I miss it.

I don't know enough about the other two, though my mom's side of the family is from Montana.

Depending on pay and location, Wyoming or Montana.

New Mexico would likely be hell for me.

Between Wyoming and Montana, it would probably depend on weather, general cost of living, and whatever local area is like near the place of employment - but if I'm going to be honest, I'd never want to live in any of those states. I'm too used to living in a heavy suburban area, and those tend to be way too vast and wide-open rural for me to ever really be happy there.

Montana. NM is right next door, but I'd much rather go up to Montana. I'm tired of these long ass summers and lack of trees. Be great to be able to take daily nature walks in a forest.

Don't know much about the other two states, but NM has a state income tax.
