We have them. They are just less common.

Ive started seeing them more lately. They recently restructured a really busy road near the beach into one. Otherwise though you only usually see them on complicated commercial areas

We used to not have them. They started appearing in America in like the 2000s I think

I'm speaking from experience. I was in the car when the driver came to a roundabout, knew what was expected and went the wrong way anyway. "Why would I go all the way around to the right?"

roundabouts are fine, but i hate it when i have to go through roundabouts with 2 or more lanes.

Theres one down the road where I live in Tennesse. I've seen them in New York and Pennsylvania too.

And yeah, I've seen a few roundabouts but most of them were obnoxious and added in after the road had already been in use, because they added new housing in a direction they hadn't had anything before.

My hometown had a 5 way intersection that they replaced with a roundabout. Best thing to ever happen in that town.

I know a former mayor of a college town around here, who now is the president of the local transit board, and his big issue when he was mayor was advocating for roundabouts. like he oversaw creating half a dozen in as many years, now the city has even more. they recently reported that traffic deaths were down there due to it. good guy

We have a shit ton of them in Massachusetts but we call them "rotaries". I didn't know wtf a "roundabout" was until I used a GPS for the first time when they became popular.

Its called a traffic circle in where I live. There are 2 of them within a few miles of my house. The GPS does refer to them as a roundabout, but no one says that in conversation.

We have a couple down here in Georgia, people get confused with them lol. Then again people get confused what to do when traffic lights are flashing yellow so I can imagine for those people a roundabout must be a nightmare.

They are becoming more common where I live. A few were put in where 4-way stop signs or lights with heavy traffic were, and its done an amazing job at alleviating congestion.

Looking it up, I see that there are road signs for Traffic circle and Roundabout in the US, so I guess its just regional. They all say traffic circle near me, along with some of the surrounding businesses. Such as circle pizza and circle gas station.

People's brains absolutely shut down when they see a roundabout here

In indiana we have tons of them for some reason.
