If their credit card machines are too old for NFC, then I insert a credit card. I then pay off the credit card a couple days later before I even get the bill. I've spent thousands in a month and had a statement balance of under $100, which keeps my credit rating as high as possible. There are only three things I don't pay for with a credit card.
