Board 8 > How do you feel when dlc is no longer available

This is for the gamers of b8 who may play a game not at release but a few years fown the road. The only downside is hypothetical app or dlc has been removed so a feature or easy helper is now no longer available.

Depending on how intrusive this removal is can this ruin or upset your gaming experience? Looking for your personal thought process

Depends on how badly I wanted said DLC and how narrowly I missed the window by.

I'm more frustrated by games being pulled from various shops or shops being closed entirely.

I was pretty annoyed about Yakuza 3 since it wasn't even available as paid DLC and seemed to be actual content, not just skins or something. Hopefully it's part of this new rerelease. I agree that entire games being pulled is generally worse.

Don't worry. Companies are just porting and remastering pretty much every top game each generation. Just buy the same buy every 7 years and you are fine.

from what I've seen everything is in the Yakuza 3 remaster that was cut from the original PS3 release

Yakuza 3 is indeed fully restored in the remaster, except for a couple of things that were taken out in Japan as well. (The only things I'm aware of are the quiz game that everyone hated and a substory that was deemed to be transphobic.)

the only time this has slightly been relevant to me is that I regret not getting the Costumes for UMVC3 on 360

but I knew about it

I knew when it was being pulled

and they even went on sale, for like 10 bucks

so its sorta my fault anyways since I didn't do anything the entire time
