What does queer, intersex and ally mean? Ally = cis-hetero individual who supports the rights of non-cis, non-hetero groups and individuals. It can be someone who dedicates their life to fighting for legal rights of those people to someone who simply treats their gay friend as they would everyone else. Intersex = individuals who were born with both male and female genitalia. The main issues they face are either surgery post-birth (which usually results in PTSD symptoms later on in life) or simply not being allowed basic rights due to the government requiring them to choose one gender or the other. Very, very low population numbers for intersex results in a lot of ignorance. Queer = probably the most complex letter of the acronym. I'll let someone who identifies as queer define it. From my limited understanding and only a few queer friends, it's an identity that questions the essence of sex and gender and orientation.
