yeah maybe if i didn't trade for Tifa it could have been Rufus. i almost saved Celes instead of trading for Tifa, but i wasn't confident enough in H4 existing.

I'm only saving Fang for as long as it takes to avoid the inevitably smug analysis of "last year's champion comes back down to Earth with a more typical performance". Although I'm not sure exactly how far that would even need to be.

If I safe Terra instead of Fang, she probably just goes out instead tbh.

Fang's 2nd-best finish was 37th so I guess aim for there? Or at least 49th place would mean her percentage wouldn't drop.

Reminds me of Day 1 when we were, like, 10 saves away from eliminating her... now that would've been smug!

Terra has certainly fallen off since raytan's departure, but she was strong enough to begin with that that's still generally meant decent performances. Aside from that post-CXIII backlash, this is actually her worst performance, which really isn't all that bad. She drops from 77.29% to 75.23%, down two spots to 10th. Her newSTATS drop from 64.91% to 61.05%, down five spots to 27th.

What does 11th place have to get to overtake? Or 12th or whoever else can make Top 10.

I crunched the numbers on this since I love this stuff...

The only one that can overtake is 11th, Rydia. She needs to finish at least 17th place to pass Terra.

Celes and Squall can still fall below Terra too, but are safe so long as they don't finish lower than 60th and 34th place, respectively. Celes stays ahead of Squall so long as he doesn't finish at least 26 places ahead of her.

As far as the other Celes/Squall/Rydia differentials it gets a bit more variable:
-If Squall is eliminated next (66th place) Rydia leapfrogs if she's 47th or better; if Celes is eliminated next Rydia leapfrogs if she's 23rd or better
-If Rydia wins Celes and Squall need to finish at least 42nd and 17th place, respectively, to stay ahead
-So Squall needs to finish at most 16-19 places behind Rydia, and Celes 41-43 places (the gap narrowing the deeper into the contest we get)

So for the Rydia fans out there, a little something to keep excited about... and a couple of others can leapfrog Squall, but let's just not let Squall be eliminated soon!

Also, Zidane can't fall below Terra but everyone else can leapfrog him if he's eliminated soon so, something else to aim for.
