I have mostly taught 3rd grade, but I'm trying to avoid high stress, and this position is very close to where I live. Most kinder classes I have seen have much fewer students, and much like 1st (which I have taught), they are easier over all to control. It will mean not teaching any math skills etc, but I think this is the best way for me to get back into teaching for now.

Hope it goes well, it's less then 5 mins from where I live!!

Thanks Mead:)

Bulb, oops I used the German version. A good friend of mine was from Austria and a Kindergarten teacher, so I just use that automatically.

I'm celebrating by going to texas de brazil tonight. Nothing like eating mass amounts of meat to celebrate a potential (don't wanna jinx it but fairly likely) job!!

Lol, I mean, I didn't even notice the G instead of D when I looked at it the first time. Not even sure how I did that cause they are not even close to each other on the keyboard...must be some kind of mind blip or something.

Dynalo, I alway save them till the end of the year and don't end up using them, and worst of all they don't carry over to the next year!!! *sigh*

Not sure where yet, just somewhere in Tacoma (there are positions at a few schools).

Actually Zangulus, I'm a bit worried about that, I never had any bathroom problems with my first graders, but I'm betting it's far more common at the Kinder level and I have not had to deal with that.

Gl! My wife did 1st grade for 3 years, then kindergarten for 2, now she's back to 1st grade for her 6th year as a teacher.

And yeah, expect to have a lot of nurses/changes of clothing with the kindergarten crowd

Interview went really well, I should hear by friday but she hinted I would hear sooner.

Few things though, first it's not just Kindergarten, but pre-school as well, 2 and up, which I have no experience with. I'm willing to learn though and it has a massive advantage.

Hours are from 6 am to 6pm.....so they have multiple shifts instead of just 1 teacher for the whole day. She said I could probably do a noon to 5pm shift even, which would be freaking awesome.

Takes 10 mins not 5 to get there, but it's not really that bad of a drive since it's straight down one street pretty much. It is 20 minutes commute each day, but, I guess I really can't complain about that.

Anyway, gotta re-cert my CPR and now not only do you need TB tests but some kinda MMR thing in Washington as well!! Also need background checks as always, but it looks like one is state and they actually pay you for getting it (Star or something) and then the other is through the school, which they pay for. Way better then CA where you paid like $65 a pop for background checks for every place you freakin applied.

So hopefully i'll hear back soon, this looks really good though!! I don't know nothing about babies, but, your never to old to learn:)
