I've "been reading" Foucault's Pendulum and The Master and Margarita (in original Russian) for a while now... >_> I actually have read a few chapters of M&M in the past month so I guess I'm making some progress there.

Just finished The Moon Maid by Edgar Rice Burroughs, nowhere near as good as Tarzan and just a little worse than John Carter but it picked up near the end.

Next is Gunsights by Elmore Leonard.

Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics by Kant

Even for one of his lighter works it's a bit tough to get through (the epistemology parts especially) but I can't deny his brilliance.

I started Stephen King's The Outsider last week and I'm about 3/4 through it.

I decided to check it out after seeing someone on here speak highly of it in a Stephen King topic. (can't remember who) I'm glad I did because I'm really enjoying it and will finish it up within the next few days.

The Ghost, a biography about James Jesus Angleton. Just finished Affliction by Laurell K. Hamilton. Its a series about a vampire hunter named Anita Blake who is also a necromancer. Eventually she ends up having sex with vampires and lycanthropes and she feeds off the power of sex. By the time you get to where im at in the series, shes basically fucking everyone and it gets a little ridiculous. This last one was hard to finish, repetitive sex scenes and emotional bullshit galore. Anita thinks she has a wang and her whole harem lives to kiss her ass. But i gotta know how it ends -_-

finally getting around to checking out The Way of Kings

i've read the prelude and the prologue so far, and tbh it hasn't quite grabbed me. the lashing magic seems pretty cool and it's fun imagining the sort of anti-grav stuff going on, but otherwise the plot so far and the prose and the themes and everything seem pretty generic and basic. i know fantasy as a genre hasn't ever really required much emphasis to be put on prose, but still, the diction reminds me of stuff i wrote in high school.

Sanderson ain't the best if you're looking for deep prose, just warning you now lol. I love Stormlight but it's very much like a popcorn movie in that regard. I will say the characters are pretty good tho

How are you liking the series so far? After the third book they just keep getting wackier and wackier. I guess if you're still in for Heretics you're pretty invested but, hang on to your butt.
