Depends on what health impacts it has and how it's regulated. Given the hallucinogenic properties, it seems like at a bare minimum it should be supervised.

As a libertarian I believe all drugs should be legal. Its not the role of government to dictate what people put into their bodies. Heck, you can drink the bleach under your sink and it would kill you. Should that also be illegal?

Maybe if we had widespread issues with people drinking bleach. Keep in mind that lawmakers were starting to talk about making a law so that Tidepods looked less like candy after that started to become a problem:

Which was despite the fact that the thing that really brought it to national attention was an internet challenge where teens and older -- people who should have very well known the risks -- were getting hurt by them.

Drugs that are legitimately harmful to yourself or those around you should be illegal, but other than that they should be decriminalized. After all some drugs are very much legal. Caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol are all examples of legal drugs.

1. You create an entire industry with leaglized drugs. New jobs, factories, and the like.
2. Tax the hell out of them, giving the country new streams of revenue.
3. You reduce the cost of police enforcement to stop drugs because they are now legal. Now cops can focus on more important matters rather than someone who chooses to die by taking too much of them.
