We kinda put off the actual marriage for awhile because of various other events, like a few broken things around the house, an automobile accident, etc that took up our time and money for a bit. But we recently realized our lives would be financially easier to marry anyway cuz of taxes and insurance stuffs, and all so we just went ahead and did it. My family tends to..overcomplicate things. My mom is controlling and actually has threatened to not go to my wedding when shes displeased with anything I do (Im nearly 30). This way I didnt have to worry about any of her stuff.
