They knew it was headed in that direction after my proposal. We kinda put off the actual marriage for awhile because of various other events, like a few broken things around the house, an automobile accident, etc that took up our time and money for a bit. But we recently realized our lives would be financially easier to marry anyway cuz of taxes and insurance stuffs, and all so we just went ahead and did it. My family tends to..overcomplicate things. Theyll be fine

I wanted to get married and just see how long it took people to notice the ring on my finger, but family politics on my wifes side necessitated a more traditional approach :p
My family probably wont like it too much but my family is a bit crazy regardless of whats going on anyway. My mom is controlling and actually has threatened to not go to my wedding when shes displeased with anything I do (Im nearly 30). This way I didnt have to worry about any of her stuff. Been trying to put up some boundaries with her for awhile now. Lol
