90's cartoons weren't that great. You could argue Batman: TAS was a good cartoon, but it had a lot of bland episodes or at least a lot moments in episodes that were very boring and clumsy looking.

Yeah, Wild Thornberries is a good candidate. Catdog springs to mind.

There were a lot of cartoons growing up that we just knew because they were on Nick or Cartoon Network and that was the end of that.

Problem Solverz might be the biggest disgrace to animation in the west. Super Sumo was pretty fucking awful,too and good god almighty Da Boom Crew and Detention were horrid back in the day

Even the characters in the show hated Allen Gregory and the show got cancelled once it started going for a family drama direction instead of slapstick comedy that the trailers portrayed. It was secretly a dark show overshadowed by bad Baby Boss reputation.

Chalkzone and Catdog were the two 90s cartoons that I thought were absolutely abysmal. It wasn't the premises, they were just painfully unfunny.

And some people on here were shitting on 90s cartoons, but even the mediocre ones were miles ahead of most 80s cartoons. By then, almost all of them were cheaply produced and not entertaining. As far as I'm concerned, Hannah-Barbara ruined animation for decades.

Catdog was good, but I was surprised by how depressing it was when I watched it again as an adult. Like, christ, everyone bullies, tricks, or takes advantage of them all the time. They almost never get what they want. They barely get along with each other. Cat's fucking catchprase exists in response to the constant damage he experiences: "My body! My body! My body!"
