think are inhumane and distant

For example: We no longer have to deal with child labor, religion dominating government, slavery, diseases that were killed by antibiotics and increased living conditions, conventional warfare, and etc.

Hopefully the end of the economic slave and a transition to a resource based economy of abundance, more rights for animals great thread by the way, I love discussions like this. Hopefully there is drastic changes to health care and ethics and things like dentistry. I think 50 years from now we're going to realize how wasteful of a society we are and how badly we pollute, we're looking at a massive movement towards depopulating the planet.

Trump actually having been president, shooting sprees, the attempts of religious institutions to subvert government.

This is just a bump in the road, history trends leftward overall.

Some day Americas going to treat separation of corporation and state as seriously as it does separation of church and state.

I went with 300 years from now

My guesses

-eating animals
entire world will be converted to bugs only

-sex for pleasure
will be considered a form of violence towards women and like doing hard core evil drugs.
This will be taught and encouraged to help with over population.

-porn
Will be seen as a form of exploiting the poor

-money
Currency will be a outdated concept because of labor automation and easily available recreation of elements and supplies, you will instead earn respect and recognition instead,

-40+ hour work weeks
Will be considered a form of torture. Instead government will require everyone to contribute to 4 days of work of 6 hours each day. How good you work or not will reflect on respect points system they will have.

-Jobs that destroy your body
These jobs will no longer exist, jobs will be about creativity and making society happy and helping people

-mobile devices
They will be frowned apon for the epidemic of spike deformities they grew in back of skulls and the permanent eye damage and sleep dysfunction they created

-fossel fuels
We will instead have a new fuel that is created from millions of factories that pull bad contaminants out of the atmosphere and convert them into fuel blocks (thus actually reversing global warming and increasing fresh nitrogen and oxygen for us, making is healthier and more intelligent)

-religion
Will be recognized as a form of brain washing with the fear of death, and considered terroristic in nature and banned globally

-roads
They will be considered cruel and inhumane to animals and environment on top of slow and inefficient. Everything will be run on massive long intense magnetic rail systems. That go up and down and take you everywhere and are 100% computer controlled. They instantly accelerate to 360mph and can reach speeds of up to 600+mph

-Underwater cities
Only the elite and most influential and entitled people will live in them. Completely protected from harsh elements, longer life spans from lack of sun and strong oxygen rich environment. Commoners will be jealous

It might take longer than a century but eating meat is an obvious one.

I have no doubt that it is a part of the destiny of the human race, in its gradual improvement, to leave off eating animals, as surely as the savage tribes have left off eating each other when they came in contact with the more civilized.
