wolfy42 08/05/19 4:28:17 AM #2:	I don't min/max, since I like to actually create an interesting (and usually fairly unique) character with a back story, and a good explanation for stats/abilities etc. They don't all have weaknesses, but usually they have something that makes them stand out a bit. I do like to roleplay, but it's a casual roleplay. I never do voices (except when playing a goblin), but I do try and act like my character would, and if my character is stupid or not smart, I don't solve puzzles etc (although if I have a smart character in my party and the player doesn't figure something out, I'll tell them ooc...so their character can solve it etc). It's all about the fun though. We have had a blast playing an 8-10 hour session with absolutly no fighting at all, and also had a blast playing a 6+ hour session that was one very long combat. streamofthesky 08/05/19 5:34:30 PM #13:	Fun of play Which often involves min maxing, because the things I like (generally, rogue and monk types, that are nimble and flashy melee combatants) are some of the most underpowered classes/builds in my game of choice, D&D 3.5. Plus I have pretty terrible luck w/ dice rolls. So I optimize in order to play what I like and still be good at my job. When I play a spellcaster, I take it a lot easier on the optimizing, most of those classes are damn powerful w/o even putting in any effort. Like my Drow assassin is currently a vegan gardener who plays a hill giant in a traveling performance group that ends every show getting pants-ed and mooning the audience.
