Time travel will never exist.

The human race becomes extinct before the technology is possible.

They are here among us but are forbidden from revealing themselves.

they can only observe the past as it happens, not able to be physically present or interact with it in any way

A receiver is required for the time traveller to arrive, which hasnt been invented yet

everyone is hanging out with the dinosaurs and in biblical times. No interest to travel back to our modern time.

Time travel is possible according to general relativity. The only explanation is we never use it. At least not in that way.

Time Travel creates a new separate timeline and we are in the prime one.

Prime meaning good?

Cause I'm pretty sure those time travelers tried to change shit by giving Leo an Oscar back in 2016 and now we have to deal with the consequences

i thought GR only allowed for forward time travel and that was basically just going really fast so you experienced time dilation (time moves slower for you than everything else)

Not even the prime one, just a divergent reality.

Well... maybe because our timeline didnt get any time travelers? Im assuming if I go back in time, kill Hitler before he becomes a threat, this timeline wouldnt change but that time line would be completely different. Thats just a theory of course

Couple things with this. Perhaps by the time such travel is possible, all of that will be ancient history.

Or, more disturbingly, time travel did intervene. Its likely that such a movement was inevitable one way or another, and maybe the person they eliminated was significantly worse, and what we got was the well at least the allies win in this scenario.

That's special relativity. I'm not an expert on GR but the concept is called Closed Timelike Curves if you want to look it up.
