It's a fantastic show

Obviously the over the top behaviour from some of the fanbase is bad and embarrassing, but I find it easy to separate the two.

This plus the fanbase is enough to make me feel bad about it. First two seasons were pretty special but it's increasingly moved in directions I don't like.

I think it's a great show, and I really think the fanbase issues are blown out of proportion. The "anti-fanbase" is more persistent and challenging to avoid, IMO, and is therefore more obnoxious.

The sauce incident was an embarrassment, but at least it quickly came and went. Meanwhile, people have been spamming hackneyed rants and copypastas about "le toxic fanbase" for much, much longer. I think everyone ITT has been totally reasonable, but sites like AV Club and Reddit are insufferably smug about this type of thing.

...the Internet sucks now, man.

Awesome show. I even loved the somewhat maligned third season. My favorite episodes are "The Rickshank Rickdemption," "Something Ricked This Way Comes" and the one where Jerry and Beth have couples' therapy. Also, "Total Rickall," because the humor totally flows like a Community episode.

Same here, Tales from the Citadel was what made me realize it was one of my favorite shows.

I've only seen the first season and enjoyed it quite a bit, so I voted good.

You know what does make me feel bad though? People who judge things based more on their fanbases than the thing itself.

I should add that the show is fun but it's in some ways predictable

The characters always behave in a certain way regardless of what obstacles are thrown at them

It's less laugh out loud hilarious and more fun to just see them doing their thing

I do love when the artists get to go crazy and a lot of the creative episode premises

I think the show is outstanding and it's probably one of my favorite shows of all time. I love that a show so different from the norm can still find mainstream success.

That said I don't believe the bad 'fanbase' are actually fans of Rick & Morty the show. I think they're just in it for the memes, hence the jackass in that video that spazzes out about a bunch of non connected shit from the show. Like if I tried to have a discussion on the show with that dude he probably wouldn't even know what I'm talking about, but I totally get how people like him give the series a bad rep

Well I've never seen the show, so I voted bad based on the fanbase (and I don't like the art stlye much anyway)

I doubt anyone who likes the show would vote bad just because of the fanbase
