Every time some person figures out I drive a 2019 F-159, their initial response is something snarky like "well my 2001 Honda has gotten me this far" or "You do know that's a depreciating asset right". You know what a day, maybe you could afford a new car if you didn't have to religiously blow your money on going 3 nights a week or eating out 3 times a day. Honestly, I do not give af about what you choose to do with your money, so quit bothering me.

Although sometimes it's because people buy new cars and have buyers remorse about it their whole lives.

The whole depreciating asset thing doesn't really mean much unless you're literally wanting to buy a new vehicle every 5 years or something.

well why do you have a car?

if its value, there are things that are better investments

if its functionality, there are cars that works as well for cheaper (and work better/longer)

if its to be showy, then some people think that's a shitty reason to spend a lot of money on sometihng and that's why they act that way.

Not gonna lie, I didn't even realize the Viper was dead until about 2 weeks ago. I was briefly in shock/disbelief, until remembering it's always been a bit of a gimmick, but now there's no vette vs viper.

Now it's just the plastic car I've come to hate more than probably anything else. Mostly because it's like the cereal box toy of a sports/GT car and every damn time another car in the 100k+ range all the way up to rolls-royce, mclaren, etc. The thing I hear is 'wHy WuD u BuY a 200k Aston, get a V3tte it's winnerest'
You'd think the vette was some sort of gift from God and we're heathens if you so much as appreciate something else.

I will say 1 thing about the current-ish Chrysler/Dodge mess. The hellcat has a damn sexy badge.
