This is suppose to be the poor persons option :(.

No wonder why some gamers live in filth. You gotta pick between clean blankets or a new release.

I mean, not really? Doing my laundry at the laundry mat costs me about $200/year. Buying a washer/dryer is gonna run you like $800 minimum AND you still have to pay utilities to run it. I'm not even sure buying your own is a sound investment long term, tbh. Wear and tear on your machines might have them breaking before they break even, depending on how much utilities are in your area.

I'd pay $800 just to not have to haul all my shit outside

Plus, you don't have to risk using a bed bug infested machine and you can do stuff while you wait.

Must be cheaper there. It's costing me like 25$ just to do 5-6 comforters and some sheets once. Just that every month would be over 200$. I guess I wouldn't have to do my guest blankets monthly tho

I got a cheapo washer and dryer used for $120 about 5 years ago. They were only a year old too, still going on, but the dryer isnt drying as much. I'm sure there's some maintenance I need to do it

They'll survive the wash cycle, but a good dry cycle on high heat will kill them. It's their eggs that are the toughest to kill.

in my town it's about 5.25$ per load for a medium sized washer and a full round of drying.
4$ for a smaller load,

200$ a year is about right. our landlord doesn't charge for laundry machine usage but we have to follow rules ie locking the door after use.

The laundromat I used to use had busted ass dryers that didn't get anything close to high heat. Plus, if you're repeatedly drying your stuff on high, you're damaging it and significantly reducing its shelf life. It also had a bedbug infestation in one of the machines according to management.

You sure can do that if you can trust that some jerk won't take your clothes out of the dryer to steal the cycle you paid for.

The bedbugs in the drum will die. If they're just in the machine in general they can still get into your clothes after it's done drying.
