America can't be policing or taking care of literally everyone. If you an open border policy, in my view (and the view of Chuck Schumer btw), you're only going to hurt children more. There's a lot of fake families being brought in and these children are being violated and raped.

This all ties into the crisis at the border. This is all on topic. An open border policy will only hurt our economy, hurt victims of child sex abuse even more, and tempt others to trying to sneak in illegally. We are a country of law and order. We would like to help asylum seekers, but a lot of them are not going thru the port of entry. They're sneaking in illegally. We need order in all of this chaos. Some people are abusing the system by AVOIDING the other countries they walked thru to seek asylum. That's not how that works. Asylum seekers should go to the first country they travel towards.

I want to help people as much as the next person. There has to be an order to it all, though. Right now, we've got chaos.
