Im not sure if it's because I'm more mature than my teenage self or because Gfaqs got more lax in modding. Their unfairness is probably a psychological projection of the unhappiness and fulfillment of their lives. Happy people are generally forgiving and don't like to play nanny with others. Life has given them a good turn and so they pass it on. Moderators on the other hand most likely use their position to vent their frustrations and fill the void of meaning and accomplishment in their lives. Aside from that explanation, I could see a person being a mod because the site they are on is their social outlet because they don't have enough social stimulation in real life. Either way, being a moderator is a poor usage of your time on this planet. Please find something else to do. If you're going to shepherd, go do it in a pasture that matters.
