Closing arguments are expected today in the trial of a Bronx teenager accused of stabbing one classmate to death and wounding another. Prosecutors say Abel Cedeno killed 15-year-old Matthew McCree and injured 16-year-old Ariane Laboy at the Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation back in September 2017 Cedeno says he was acting in self-defense after being bullied because hes gay. Youre gay, you shouldnt be gay, he testified on Thursday. It was psychological abuse for being gay. During his testimony, Cedeno said the bullying got physical on the day of the attack. I began getting hit in the back of the head with broken pencils, pen caps and bunched up paper, he said. Matthew punched me on the cheek two or three times. Cedeno admitted he pulled a knife from his pocket, but said it was only meant to scare people away. When asked if he remembered stabbing McCree and Laboy, he said not specifically the times when the blade went inside them. Cedeno pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon charges. From my experience teacher dont do enough to handle bully problem and even police doesnt take action. School normally cares about clothes rules not being broken, but bully they dont take action.

I can sympathize with him. Bullying is a big problem and the school system really don't do anything about it. In fact, they sweep it under the rug until something like this happens. That's why I blame schools for a lot of the violence that happen in schools, including shootings.
Sometimes bullies can be ruthless and they get a chance to bully every time they get. I don't know if it's intention is to kill the bullies, but I have no doubt he wanted them to stop and he was willing to do anything to get them to stop. I went to a New York public high school and I've seen the type of bullying that happens in these schools. It's not the type you can get away from easily. This is one of the reasons why boys need good fathers in their lives. Without them, you get bullies and when the victim strikes back, you get dead bullies. --- Sig under construction! ... I definitely can sympathize with him. It sounds like things got out of control quickly. This other kid was hitting him and he pulled out a knife thinking he would back off. The problem with that is that if they don't back off you have to use the knife

In real life, bullies are violent and they can kick the shit out of you if you "stand up" to them.  They attacked him first and he pulled out the knife to defend himself. This is not a case of someone seeking to kill another person.
