Holy shit is was incredible. Once of the best series I have played. That final case was definitely the best imo. Any one else play the series?

Also Franziska is my favorite character by far. She is the fucking best. Her and Edgeworth are great.

It really is amazing. Such a charming series.

The 3DS ones are also worth playing.

I think I will get around to them. Are the Miles Edgeworth games good? I heard mixed things about them. Also I heard Apollo is not the most interesting character...

It's been a while since I played Apollo Justice and AAI but I'm pretty sure I overall liked them both. Apollo Justice tries to take the franchise in a new direction but they back down from it in the following games.

I've heard AAI2 is the highlight but it was never officially released in English so you need to rely on fan patches to play it.

Investigations is the worst Ace Attorney game, but Investigations 2 is the best. The first one is still worth playing, though.

Also I am watching the second opening to the Phoenix Wright anime rn. Why they decided to give so much time to the circus case is beyond me, but the amount of detail in that opening is amazing for the brief time they highlight that case.

One of the games came on Xbox recently and i've been considering trying it. I know little about it except that you are pretty much a lawyer solving cases.

It's the first three games. 14 trials in all. Do it. If you like story driven games, especially murder mysteries, it some of the best money you can spend on a game. They make you think and some of the cases are fucking mind-blowing

I loved most of the Telltale Games, LA Noire, and a lot of those Sherlock games that have come out, so I figured it's something i'd enjoy.

I have played a good amount of the Telltale games (Where is my fucking The Wolf Among Us sequel?!) and LA Noire was a great game. This trilogy is better than both tho.

AA is my favorite game series of all time. My favorite game ever is either AA3 or AAI2. I think AA3 hit more emotional notes for me, while AAI2 was strictly just a wall-to-wall fantastic game.

For me, my list is something like AA3 = I2 > 6 > 2 > 5 > 1 > Layton > 4 = I1

I love all of them though, except maaaaybe I1 which I've soured on over time (I1-3 is my least favorite case in the series, and I1-5 is my least favorite final case. The rest is okay but not as great as the rest of the series), but is still an okay game.

I sadly don't have a hacked 3DS to play the Dai Gyakuten games, but I may just break and watch a Let's Play on YouTube for the experience.

But yeah, amazing series. I'm really glad they ported it so that more people can play it, because it's totally worth playing.

Edit: While we're doing favorite cases, I'll throw out my top 10: 3-5 > I2-5 > 2-4 > 6-5 > 3-4 > 5-5 > I2-3 > 2-2 > 6-3 > 1-4

I'm more of a fan of 2-2 than most, but it's always held a nice spot for me as basically the perfect filler case (despite having ties to the main plot anyway). I loved the cast and it was just a general fun as hell time.

I did. I thought it was very good but it did drag on towards the end. Angel Starr is a great character tho. The lunchbox gimmick is pretty funny

AA trilogy is 10/10. Great great games. Apollo Justice is alright, hit or miss and with a weaker finish but I really enjoyed it. Dual Destinies is pretty good. Honestly I think 'Spirit of Justice' sucks outside of the middle two cases.

3 > 1 > 2 > PLvsAA > 5 > 4 > 6

They say the Great Ace Attorney games are awesome, dedicated fans have translated the first entry and I believe they are working on the second. It takes place way in the past in London.

Also look into Zero Escape. I think the games quality are kinda the reverse of AA going 2 > 1 > 3 but I think they're all really worth a play. It's not a trial thing or anything like that but it's very heavy with visual novel twists and figuring out the truth based on the information that's available to you.

The ace attorney trilogy really is one of the greatest games of all time. I played them on the DS and absolutely fell in love with them. I love every single case, and unlike people on the internet there is no case I dislike, only characters, and even then I still sympathize with some of the villains.

Apollo Justice ace attorney is... okay. It was pretty disappointing when it came out and utterly ridiculous what they do with Phoenix but the game is still okay... if you consider it semi noncanon, which I do since I didn't bother with the 3ds games.

Now Ace Attorney Investigations with Miles Edgeworth, those games are underrated. After AJ was meh, playing AAI was super fun. I loved seeing Edgeworth's perspective again and enjoyed the twists and turns the story takes.

I even played a fan translated AAI 2 and thought that was magnificent. Whoever these people that made the fan translation, they are amazing. They truly understood and love ace attorney which shows, and I honestly could not tell this was a fan translation, so much so that I refer to the names of the characters in that game by the fan translation's names.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend the Ace Attorney Investigations games after playing the original trilogy.
