Changing the appearance of one fictional character is the same as changing the appearance of another fictional character.

If were supposed to be okay with Ariel being played by a black actress, then hypothetically we should also supposed to be okay if Sonic the Hedgehog turned dark brown like a real hedgehog. Seeing as people say a fictional characters defining trait isnt their color palette.
