Elio's Pizza is sold out of a mobile pizza oven in a pickup truck. Eleodoro Lopez found a liquor store that would let him park in its lot and started selling pizza out of it a few months ago. Now he's gaining recognition for selling delicious Neapolitan-style pies for $10 each in Silver Lake.

No. If an actual American citizen wanted to sell food, they'd need to get a proper license, approval from the health department so that there isn't an issue of food contamination, and would be paying taxes on the sales and profits.

Allowing this just hurts Americans who follow the rules.

That does look delicious, but i couldn't fault it if he was shut down for lacking a business license or not having any verifiable health standards. We're not talking about a kid's lemonade stand, but an attempt at a very delicious gray market business.

No, but so long as those regulations are in place, I don't think business owners who actually attempt to follow the law should be disadvantaged because illegals disregard them.

No. Its sidestepping the process of getting (and PAYING for) a work permit that everyone else would have to do. Laws are laws, and you cannot interpret them differently, depending on how you feel about the situation. Its also tax evasion and the owner is the liquor store is lucky that he didnt get charged for helping them. Once again - laws are laws, and theyre the same for everyone.

No, they have to go thru the process of paying for a permit to sell food, have a health inspector make sure everything is up to code while this guy doesn't have to go thru any of that.

Again, they are free to give up their brick and mortar, and go to the streets if they want. No one is stopping them from doing so.

Only if they have a license to do so. Selective enforcement of business and health regulations technically is disadvantegous, and food trucks/stands have those same requirements other than ADA and building guidelines.

hell im abit more extreme out side of foods i cant make my self (IE pizza which i get from pizza hut)

i almost never eat things i dont make my self (Ie a hamburger)

not really what your talking about i know just kind where my mind in general is on such subjects
