And, I think that has more to do with you right? The better players could point to being shot night 1 every game as town. Blade, Chris, Red, Han kind of have to rely on what the rest of town does. You don't really have that excuse, right? You have more of the game to shine.

just play more and don't be afraid to get into the middle things. You didn't really have much fire til the end. Not getting involved makes you an easy mislynch target.

You didn't really do much wrong. The last day though, not understanding the basics of mafia hurt you. You kept throwing out the idea of a 2 scum team left. This being obviously not possible made it look like scum desperate to stay alive through fearmongering.

Just find scum and find town. You won't be right all the time, but as long as people can see where you got to where you did from a town mindset, it looks better. Better to talk and advance theories than to stay silent and analyze.

5tar main thing that looked scummy of what you were doing was trying to like, railroad your decision making in advance. Like I recall you said something like "if Panthera flips town tomorrow I'm going for Red" or something like that and I was like "hm that guy might be scum" and didn't get unconvinced until late in your lynch day. I dunno.

In general you seemed more concerned with trying to clear your moves as non-suspicious than finding the suspicious people to me for a lot of the game. Not only does that not help town much but it also makes you an easy target if anyone latches onto the fact that you're actively appearing innocuous.

Edit: Actually I was lynched as scum my first game ever in Dresden Files. I guess I should count that, despite it seeming silly to. We won the game though with only me being lynched. And I guess Gravy won also with his ridiculous fairy Indy role too.

Why? Give Town a Rolecop and give Scum a Scum Miller every once in awhile just to signal that Town doesn't have one and to freely claim it. Miller meta is only where it is due to lack of host imagination with the role

After Blade kept reviving and Ulti kept making the funny flavor of him somehow saving himself under the bottom rope (undertaker of all fucking people). I blacked the entire game out of my mind . Besides the 4 Miller's claimed that game. 1 as actual miller. 1 as scum countering. 1 as town fake countering the scum countering. And 1 as town claiming at the end of day 1 truly.

Funny shit.

I felt Mzero played very solidly even without the miller. He pointed out lots of things about how red was pointing things out to make Ulti town from red himself being scum. Mzero was really on point in the middle days imo.

Scum doesn't claim it a lot with many players due to uneasiness of being countered. And multiple Millers tend to just all be town anyways. Giving scum a scum Miller instead of scum goon role is no different besides giving scum the go ahead to claim miller and being safe from a rolescan also.

I'd rather just not use miller, personally. But it was the first flavor Sultan wrote this game, so it stayed in. I was "considering" dropping the 1-hit BP from the setup because I'm quite aware that miller is basically confirmed town here.

Honestly I think maybe the biggest problem with miller on b8 from games I've paid attention to is that miller is a better role if the flavor doesn't fit.

The whole idea of a miller where it's like "oh yeah, flavor fits, clearly makes sense as a miller" is counter-intuitive to the idea of a miller being a claim that should inherently be one that draws suspicion from town

Like uh, if I put a miller in a setup as a host it'd be some random minor character that sounds like something off a scum safelist more than a dead ringer for the defining miller, or something where the flavor is inherently weird but could maybe fit on a stretch.

Like Roman Reigns as a miller is probably better here because it kinda works but Roman isn't ever booked heel so it's somewhat suspicious, but if you really wanted it to be good you'd throw some mook like Curt Hawkins in as a miller.
