Suppose someone is elected into a position of power as a representative in congress. Everyone that voted for them, allied with them, and supported them is happy, but later, they find out that this person isnt who they thought they were, even though this person never sacrificed their beliefs or ideals for gain with their party. This person makes comments that, while are true with how theyve always felt and with their earlier promises and intentions, contrast greatly with their party and unintentionally severed ties with their supporters and various members of their party, so much so that it will likely cost them their political seat.

This is just an example of how much of a joke our political is. Its a hivemind of bullies in which youre either with them or against them, and fuck you if you think differently.

Depends on what country youre in.

But if its the U.S., well... then... as long as theres pay for play, the will of the people will never be done.

How? Ive always been open as to how I feel, even if its sometimes changing slightly.

I assume this has to do w/ Justin Amash, who was a founder of the Freedom Caucus, votes w/ them 99% of the time, and has A ratings from all the conservative organizations, yet is now public enemy #1 w/ Republicans b/c he said Trump should be impeached?

People will say the problem is the two party system and while true, the actual root of the problem is our First Past The Post voting system, which is what gives rise to a two party system in the first place.

I'm looking into some of Biden's actually stances and is this guy even a Democrat? He doesn't believe in a free and open internet or drug legalization. Hell he believes we should have stricter drug regulations.

All political systems are a joke. They all can taken advantage of by people corrupted by the power. Sadly their is no perfecr solution. Though thats impossible as everyone has a different idea on what would be perfect.

At the end of the day though I realize im lucky as fuck to born in america though. It and other first world countries is like playing life on easy mode, even those in poverty tend to have it better than some in third world countries.

The Democrats are the center-right party, and have been for decades at least. They still take lobbying money from corporate interests and work with "think tanks," they're just not as whacked out as the far-right party. They'll gladly take all the money than can siphon off just as Republicans would.
It's a joke when people call the Democrats the "liberal" party. They only just began to develop a liberal wing of the party and are already freaking the hell out over it.

There is a 3rd party behind the curtain that profits off of the stupidity of the split party system.

The political spectrum is too broad for a two party system. Now with all the increased tribalism and decreased willingness to cooperate, it's looking even stupider
