61 y/o Joe Morrissey, the Democrat state lawmaker in Virginia has DEFEATED an incumbent Democrat despite a guilty plea he made in a sex scandal involving a teen he later MARRIED!!

In 2014, then 56, he plead guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor after prosecutors said he had sex with Myrna Warren, his then 17 y/o receptionist, now 22.

He defeated Democrat Sen. Rosalyn Dance despite being jailed 4 years ago..and he did it by HUGE MARGINS!!

He went to marry Warren with whom he now has 3 kids with and didn't shy from the scandal in his campaign, sending fliers out to voters showing his new family

He insisted that there was no improper contact with Warren before she turned 18, which is the age of consent

He was a state delegate through Democrats pressured him to resign and ran in the special election to fill the seat while STILL serving 6 months in JAIL and WON from behind bars.

His popularity with constituents in the heavily black district was what got him voted in despite his incumbent being a black representative and he beat her by a WIDE MARGIN thanks to the strong support from the black community, many of who knew him when he worked as a defense attorney

He was reprimanded multiple times by the Virginia Bar association for his conviction.

In 2013, he made national headlines when he took out an AK-47 Rifle from under his desk and brandished it to the House while calling for restrictions

Republicans wasted little time trying to exploit his victory tweeting "You'll fit right in with Justin Fairfax"

But voter Melvin Washington said he voted for Morrissey over Dance because he believes Morrissey understands the neighborhood and he's not bothered by his past legal problems and said "People try to blow things up more than what it is. Aint none of us perfect".

Second this being a democrat thing doesn't surprise me, they accept anything and everything from them. Exhibit A Virginia Gov and Lt Gov. Black face / KKK hood take your pick as to which one he was. He even admitted he was in the picture, then they cleared him of being in it? I mean WTF? really

Third how TERRIBLE was Rosalyn Dance if she got beat by large numbers by this guy?

Well, she was 17 at the time and they're married now so... whatever? Not really seeing the big deal other than I'm just wondering how many of the crowd that wanted to lynch Roy Moore for hitting on underage girls is going to show up and defend this guy for sleeping with his underage secretary.
