For example, he denied the fact that people in England were protesting him despite the fact that there is video and photo evidence of it all over the internet. He also denied calling Meghan Markle "nasty" despite the fact that he is on tape saying it.

It's one thing to deny things that are debatable, but what is the point in denying things that are proven true? Do his supporters actually believe him?

Iirc as a young man he had a mentor who hammered into his head to never back down or show "weakness" of any kind. So all throughout his life you have insane lies like pretending to not be the anonymous caller Barron (yes he named his kid after his alter ego) or claiming video footage of him is actually not him.
