My boyfriend and I were going to a restaurant and hes broken a bone in his foot and is walking with crutches so I held one of the two doors open for him.
Two women who were leaving the restaurant at the same time seemed to think I held the door open for them and tried to squeeze past my boyfriend who were struggling forward with his crutches. So I turned to the women and said Im holding the door for him, not for you and they started blushing and looked like deer caught in the headlights. My thought was, TC could easily have held the door for both. Even if not your intention, there was no point of calling them out on it. Smh.

Yes, telling off people trying squeeze past someone who is visibly injured is making an ass of yourself.
that's society, though. hideous people will put you in a position where you have to be a little rude. they do it because they know decent people would rather not. if you didn't tell them off this time, what would you say to the next people they tried to walk around? that kind of thing. --- ... why not both? Maybe, I'd of had to see it. They might have not been paying attention and didnt notice the guy on crutches. Even worse case scenario they were being rude, going off on strangers for minor acts of rudeness makes you look like an ass. I would gladly have kept holding the door open for them if they had waited their turn but the way they acted toward a visibly injured person put me off hard and is what made me call them out on their behaviour. It is basic social decency that you show consideration in situations like these and dont try to force your way past someone who is struggling to walk.

It is basic social decency that you show consideration in situations like these and dont try to force your way past someone who is struggling to walk. I agree. But you could have misread it. They may not have been trying to be rude. And if they were it's not really worth going off on a stranger. Best case scenario you went off on a couple of rude ladies who are so self absorbed they've completely forgotten it 5 mins later. Worst case scenario you went off on a couple of ladies who just made an awkward mistake. Either way there's really no upside. --- "People incapable of guilt usually do have a good time" -Detective Rust Cohle ... Copied to Clipboard!

Sounds like you made an ass of yourself Uh no, he was in the right. Inconsiderate bitches didn't bother to think past their own bubble to realize someone injured was already using the door... They jumped to the conclusion that the door was being held for them just because the person holding it was male. Gay men don't do chivalry. We LAUGH at chivalry, because in this century it's unnecessary and basically just bitch privilege. ![]() --- Bite me like one of your French rolls. https://i.imgtc.com/k1IlqEz.jpg https://i.imgtc.com/p1ooHhw.png ... Yeah honestly chivalry is pretty dumb at this point. I still follow some of it like holding doors for women, but that is mostly because of how I was raised.
Lot of women anymore don't even want it anyway. They are like I don't need you to hold the door. --- Show me a man who resorts to violence and I'll show you a man who's run out of good ideas Phil Funnie ... Copied to Clipboard!
