I think if this game had continued I'd have solved it. I was pretty close day 3. Problem is with my "don't get too invested" approach I need to learn how to adjust my impact without having as much time to painstakingly dig up a ton of past posts.

The problem this game shows is that catching scum is a VASTLY different skill than getting votes. The force of will was all on scums side after night 1. I made sure of that.

My one mistake was that I thought Cam was power after day 1 because he incorrectly started questioning scanner meta in relation to the miller for no reason.

I blew that hard and woulda been a terrible kill night 1 if I had my way on it. Luckily, my team voted against my idea.

I'm glad this is over now, now I can go full kitten mode after work.

So, I had a 180 on Scare on day 2 from that kill on Han

BOY that messed up ALL of my reads

I figured, I'd give Scare the benefit of the doubt and sheep him

Since he's normally good, I expected a mafia flip sooner than later if I just enabled a lynch of his choice

But yeah, too many mislynches later, and it was too late to reconsider this

So yeah, that Han kill was nuts bad for me

The neighbors also REALLY through me off

For a good part of Day 2 (and even Night 2) - I thought HOW COOL it would have been if Mafia had two neighbors with each other, in addition to other roles

So that if one neighbor flipped, it would be like: "well I guess the other neighbor HAS to be Town"

I was completely mindfucked by the cool possibilities there

I think someone mentioned why it felt unbalanced;

Because Mafia can win in 3 mislynches, whereas Town can win in 5 correct lynches

(It's why I find 4 Mafia to 13 Town a good standard)

There was a good sized study on 4 vs 13 game sizes with roughly 50% win rate between the two factions

3 mislynchs with a successful extra kill and no successful protection.

4 without a successful shot. 4 if your vengeful has a successful shot in return. Still 3 if ur vengeful hits town accidentally.

Yeah the Disabler just feels like overkill at that point. Having a single team member immune seems OK. Having the entire team immune is too much.

That said, power isn't why town lost.

And I wasn't low posting because I was scum, I was low posting because it's become apparent I can't really juggle a full time job and this game.

In my first scum game, I was blocked sending in the kill night 1, survived the town roleblocker who blocked me getting lynched, and still survived on day 3 with almost my entire team bussing me because I was so active and aggressive that people didn't want to lynch me.

In that game and BFZ, I was unemployed and extremely active (one scum, one town). My play is extremely susceptible to being affected by my real life.

I'm not sure I should be touching this again while I'm working 45 hours a week. I don't think I can really balance both. It made me more subdued and less volatile like I'd hoped, but too much so. I think I might've been even more passive as town without known goals to look for.

Does anyone know whos in line next to host?
