It's called the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As for TV dramas, was The Walking Dead ever more popular than Game of Thrones? Or was Breaking Bad the big show before GoT?

Either way, the most popular dramatic TV series changes every few years or so. All of those people who watched GoT will need something new to watch after all...

I just heard on the news this morning that the UK has a special GoT counseling service, like for people who want to commit suicide because their favorite character died, or who would give their first born for just another season. Fucking sad.

Somehow I doubt that's the only reason they want to do so, if this is actually a thing.

When someone is depressed, they can cling to any little thing to give their life joy and have something. Sometimes what seems insignificant and small can be one of those 'not until I do/see X things'.

Is it sad? Sure. Anyone feeling that way is. Is it sad for the reason it seems you're implying? I feel like you might be missing the bigger picture a bit.

Judging by that it's purely for fanatics, not generally depressed people.
