Worth playing or could pass without missing it?

Lore wise, it's not as crazy as Dark Souls or Bloodborne, but it's decent. Gameplay is solid and you have to adapt to it, which a lot of people didn't bother to do and then they complained.

Worth it, but the replay value is significantly lower than any of the other critically acclaimed FromSoftaare games

I haven't got that far into it (things keep coming up), but it's a great game, from what I've played.

I really like the combat, and the tools that aid your traversal can allow you to avoid most common enemies, and some mid-bosses, if you want.

and prosthetic tools, items that increase your life bar, etc. can be found throughout the game's world, so there's an incentive in exploring levels.

the bosses, from what I've seen are also pretty engaging.

You can't level up or grind like in dark souls. Only for special moves that do have a lot of utility.

You can get strength ups by beating some bosses, but they stop being effective after a while. This game is a lot about mobility, strafing, sniping, timed deflections and aggressiveness.

I'm curious to if the camera is consistently bad. From videos I've seen it gets stuck in walls a lot and is generally atrocious. Are those more isolated incidents?

The easiest of the bunch. This game has some huge exploits on bosses as well

It is at first, but then everything clicks and it just becomes a matter of "Wow, I was struggling against THAT?"

I'd say by the first major boss you should be right to go, and he's not too far in.

I didn't even think the graphics looked that good from the brief videos I've seen.

if you're used to summoning for help and/or grinding, then you'll likely find it to be more difficult

Eh, not really until I played DS3. Otherwise I did most things by myself in the other games. I mean, it's playable as long as you stick with it, eh?

Its some of the best sword clashing ever programmed into a video game. When you deflect perfectly there is such a satisfying clang to it.

I also really like ninja based games so I might be slightly biased.

Tenchu Souls

I wish. It's more like Shinobido, but even then not really.

Anyway, I thought it got waaaay too repetitive. The skills and prosthetic tools don't add much variety, especially when one skill dominates (ichimonji) and the tools are pretty limited in uses. Also, the devil ending ends the game a whole area and a couple bosses early. I got stung by that. Stupid game.

I adapted and can still say the battle mechanics are meh. It essentially becomes a deflect fest which gets old fast.

I solo'd all the Souls games and I can't get past this general guy who is like 45 minutes into the game. IMO it is waaay harder.

you're probably trying to play it like Souls/Bloodborne. you must unlearn what you have learned. Souls taught you to dodge all the things and that does NOT work in Sekiro. most moves should be deflected. dodging is only applicable in a handful of situations.
