Was a struggle at times, mainly because I actually kind of found the allomantic battle scenes hard to follow, and ended up rushing through them.

I really liked the ending though.

Also, I wish I was mistborn

I've also read warbreaker and elantris before this.

I guess I should do the stormlight series next?

Ya, mainly because I was really curious about the story line. The characters at times were kinda annoying, but I'm not really a good judge of stuff like that

There's another set of books set about 100 years after Mistborn. Don't remember if it's two or three.

i think it's four technically? cuz like, one's a novella and i think one takes place during the original trilogy or something?

stormlight is really cool. the second book has some issues, but I think the story it tells is interesting. it made me want to read all of the other cosmere stuff though

Mistborn as a whole is "okay" imo, and Stormlight has been great. However, the ending to the first Mistborn trilogy is the greatest ending to anything I've ever experienced.

I'm a huge Sanderson fangirl. I love Mistborn, though overall I find the first trilogy just pretty good overall. Second book is kind of a slump, third one picks up again and the ending is...just sublime, imo. Then with the Secret History and the Wax & Wayne/Mistborn era 2, Mistborn is even better in those.

Favorite is still Stormlight Archive so far though, and I'm really glad you read Warbreaker first, TC. For anyone else getting into this, it isn't *required*, but you appreciate and pick up on a lot more stuff in Stormlight 2 and especially 3 if you do read Warbreaker first. It feels like various Cosmere series are tying more and more together from here on.

EDIT: Also, it isn't Cosmere, but his new book, Skyward, is really damn good as well. The second one comes out this year.

I absolutely HATED the ending to Hero of Ages, enough that it almost killed the series for me. Not so much the overall direction of the ending, but the way it was written. It just seemed like the last chapter or so was clumsy and rushed, especially the last few pages. But all i ever hear is high praise.

But then, i also really liked Well of Ascension, and a lot of people seem to think it was a low point in the trilogy.

All 3 books hand endings that were noticeably fast to me. The beginning and mid points were slow to get going and the ending just kinda came at you.

Damn, we are gonna have to wait until after like 2021 to finish the current mistborn arc?

At least we will be getting stormlight 4 and hopefully 5 sooner because of this

Interesting, must mean he had a spark for the stormlight 4 & 5 or maybe a bit of a block for how to conclude the arc for mistborn 2? Maybe a bit of both. Either way, I love Sanderson, hasnt disappointed
me yet

he just has a lot of things on his plate and things get shuffled around for various reasons. This year he's focusing fully on Stormlight 4 and he might start W&W4 while on a break. You can read really detailed updates on his site and yearly State of the Sanderson.

They already have the rights for it, as well as the rights for a TV show adaptation of Stormlight. No telling when, though.

They do huh? Wonder how they will condense a book into a single movie, or will they split it? Guess Stormlight would make a better TV series, way too long for a movie.
