His solipsistic stuff and storytelling was always funnier than the rants. Also complaining about kids these days being boring and proper as part of a set has been going on for about 20 years. Anthony Jeselnik mocks school schootings every time there is one. Frankie Boyle makes necrophilia jokes about celebrities that died of cancer. Both of these guys are popular and doing well. I'm critical of what Louis CK did but I think it's really fucking low for people to point to jokes like this as if to say "see, he's just the worst didn't I tell you".
