I smell like masculine colognes and receive compliments. Though they are from other white people. Hmm.

It's not really a "white" person thing. It's pretty well established that people who tend to eat a lot of meat and dairy tend to have more sour-smelling sweat than people who are mostly vegetarian, and vegetarians will tend to notice the difference in smell if you're overly pungent.

It wound up being seen as more of a cultural thing in Asia because those tend to be cultures where dairy consumption is limited (due to genetic inability to properly process it - lactose intolerance is at its worst in Asia, and least common in people from northern Europe) and where meat tends to be more fish or poultry than red meat. When meeting Europeans for the first time (in a time period where basic hygiene was relatively limited and Europeans were worse than most), the difference was very noticable.

At this point, it's probably more traditional cultural biases than it is anything those people have specifically encountered themselves.

Yeah, I have Korean family members and they don't use deodorant, (I never smelled any BO so it might be a thing), and they order special ear cleaners from Korea because their wax is different.
