It's one of those cases where I'd like to replay it and see what's new, but I kinda have it on PS1 and own too much already.

todays RE just shoot everything in the head until it explodes

They werent really good puzzles though. This door is locked. Go find a chess piece so you can unlock a different door to find a key for this door.

That and it doesn't even make sense why a police station would have such elaborate puzzles.

The mansion in the first game made some sense because the mansion was built by an insane person, but the police station makes no sense why it was designed that way.

One big thing about the remake that I am not really liking though is how the Tyrant chases you everywhere. I personally like to take my time and explore the surroundings. It doesn't seem like you can do that in this game since you are constantly being chased. Hopefully the chase doesn't happen throughout the entire game and you can explore later.

I don't think it chases you everywhere, and it was the same in the OG version. I believe it was the Claire B scenario that he showed up periodically.

It's the only one of two games that I'm looking forward to in 2019 so far, unless TLoU 2 is announced as well. The other game being Sekiro.

Yeah, I remember the captain being insane, but he wouldn't be in charge of building a police station, so it still makes no sense. A police station is a government building. The government would be in charge of the construction. A captain wouldn't just be able to make changes to it himself without approval from the government first.

The Tyrant was in both Leon B and Claire B. It also did not chase you through doors then. That was something Nemesis did in RE3. Tyrant in the remake is behaving more like Nemesis, and even then Nemesis would only chase you through a few rooms before disappearing. Tyrant seems to chase you nonstop in the remake.

It was an old Museum, and he received bribes from Umbrella, plus it's not like they were big changes, what, like two floor switches for statues and the library bookcase thing, not like he changed the whole building.

Normally, I would agree, and I'm still a little annoyed that the fan remake got deep-sixed by Capcom because of this, but ... this is something that we should've gotten back in the Game Cube era, and we didn't, so I'm willing to pay the money to make up for all that lost time.

I guess I don't remember the details of RE2. Still, Nemesis in RE3 really wasn't that hard to deal with once you understood where and where he couldn't get to you. They had a similar mechanic with the enemies in RE7 and it worked out fine in that case.

I'm going to have to see how I like this resident evil. I only just played resident evil four this year and thought it was one of my favorite games of all time. However I am also discovering that resident evil games are all over the place. Was playing the resident evil 1 remake recently and it's an entirely different beast but still fun just it's nothing amazing.
resident evil 2 has seemed to have gotten a lot of good feedback so I imagine I will like the remake. Then I guess I'll just have 7 to play and then I'll have to quit resident evil or replay four.

I think if you loved 4 and kinda liked 1 remake, you'd probably like 2 remake a lot when it comes out. It's I'd say a mix of both of those games.

If he does, they'll have to severely nerf him. You'd stand no chance against Nemesis if he followed you nonstop instead of in preset locations.
