I know I haven't worded it right but I don't know how. What I mean is for example how far a 1 Seed, has reached, 2 Seed, 3 Seed and so on. Only in contests with 16 seeds per division.

I know a 1 Seed has won a contest. It was Cloud in 2003
I know a 2 Seed has won a contest. It was Link in 2002.
I know a 16 seed has reached a Division Final which was Starcraft in 2004.

Is there any info for the other seeds? Just to see how seeds stack.

What is even the point of seeds? Just a general idea of their power? Their ranking in how many nominations they got?

That would be an interesting comparison to have, but no, I don't think it's conveniently written anywhere.

As far as I can remember (though I'm probably missing some):
- a 3-seed has reached Round 6 (Melee, 2015)
- a 4-seed has won in Round 4 (Ganondorf, Bowser, and Zelda, 2018)
- a 5-seed has reached Round 4 (Scorpion, 2002)
- a 6-seed has won a contest (Undertale, 2015)
- a 7-seed has reached Round 5 (Charizard, 2010)
- an 8-seed has reached Round 4 (Pokmon RBY, 2015)
- a 9-seed has reached Round 6 (Super Mario RPG, 2015)
- a 10-seed has reached Round 4 (Zelda and Tifa, 2010)
- an 11-seed has reached Round 3 (Aerith, multiple times + Fox, 2018)
- a 12-seed has reached Round 3 (Sonic 2, 2015)
- a 13-seed has reached Round 3 (Sub-Zero and MissingNo., 2010 + Chrono Cross, 2015 + Tails and Wario, 2018)
- a 14-seed has reached Round 3 (Jecht, 2010 + Donkey Kong Country 2, 2015)
- a 15-seed has reached Round 4 (Aerith, 2018)

Seedings are generally done via nominations, although Allen might alter them slightly for the sake of bracket placement.

I know with Games contests, the on site data from My Games is also used to refine the seeding.

Amendment to my previous statement: it was actually Round 5 that Sephiroth reached in 2002.

Draven won the contest as a 3-seed.
Zelda 2018 reaching the finals as a 4-seed is the best.
I don't recall a 5,7, or 9 seed ever making the finals, so those SF runs from Crono/Seph/SMRPG look correct.
Undertale winning the title as a 6-seed is correct.

Too lazy to check on 10 or below.

True. However, Safer only asked for the furthest runs in contests with 16 seeds per division.

Probably generated based on nominations, maybe with some manual adjustment

It also helps set up the bracket so that stronger entries face weaker ones and make it farther

Also worth noting: if you count Legends Round 2 as Round 6, Pikachu in 2018 went the furthest of any 7-seed.

So we have in 1 VS 1 contests only.

A 1 Seed has won a contest. It was Cloud in 2003.
A 2 Seed has won a contest. It was Link in 2002.
A 3 Seed has reached the Semifinal Match. It was SSB Melee in 2015.
A 4 Seed has reached the Final Match. It was Zelda in 2018.
A 5 Seed has reached the Semifinal Match. It was Crono in 2002.
A 6 Seed has won a contest. It was Undertale in 2015.
A 7 Seed has reached the Semifinal Match. It was Sephiroth in 2002.
A 8 Seed has reached the Division Final. It was Pokemon R/B/Y in 2015.
A 9 Seed has reached the Semifinal match. It was SMRPG:LOTSS.
A 10 Seed has reached the Division Final. It was Zelda and Tifa in 2010.
A 11 Seed has reached Round 3. It was Fox in 2018.
A 12 Seed has reached Round 3. It was Sonic 2 in 2015.
A 13 Seed has reached Round 3. It was Missigno in 2010.
A 14 Seed has reached Round 3. It was Jecht in 2010.
A 15 Seed has reached the Division Final. It was Aeris in 2018.
A 16 seed has reached is a Division Final. It was Starcraft in 2004.

So all these are correct eh? The funny thing is that 15 and 16 Seeds have done better than 11,12,13 and 14!
Also except 1 Seed and 2 Seeds that win the contests, the one that has done better is a 6 Seed which was Undertale.
Also the seeding in 2002 was hilariously bad!
