My wife and I just sold our house and are crashing in my parents' basement until we find something we like. Made about 16k after everything, we were hoping for 20k but inspection turned up some stuff they wanted us to fix.

Gonna save a shitload of money living with my parents but it's been one week and I miss the freedom so damn much. Doesn't help that 90% of the stuff we've accumulated over the past eight years is locked up in a climate controlled storage unit.

It also sucks not having a two car garage anymore. My car doesnt have remote start so it's cold as fuck in the mornings.

Other than that I'm doing alright, how are you?

A handful of reasons.

-we settled on it originally because we had been looking for months and it was the only house with 3 beds, 2 baths, and a two car garage in our price range. Limit was 140k, we got it for 139.

-it was a corner lot with a fucking huge uneven yard that was a bitch to maintain

-no one in the neighborhood followed the speed limit...people would fly by at 50+mph and we want to have kids, wouldn't feel safe having them outside.

-neighbors were annoying as fuck

-the market in our area shot up so it was a good time to sell.

-wasn't in a good location

-I like natural light and the place had hardly any windows.

Mostly nitpicky stuff.
