Pichu's Thunder is way better than Pikachu's. It has a way faster travel time. Plus there's Pichu's naturally smaller hitbox.

When does Elite Smash unlock? I have over 1 million GSP on some characters.

A character doesnt have to be changed at all in Ultimate to be worse btw. You have a combination of other characters moving around and the influence of the engine affecting tier placements for everyone.

Falco was legit garbage in 4 and hasn't really gotten much better

You're actually completely wrong here and it's obvious you haven't touched him at all. His dair comes out on like frame 7 now instead of what felt like 30, his upsmash is just as strong as Fox's for all intents and purposes, he has upthrow upair kill confirms, AND he has a great combo game.

But nah, characters were this way in a different game so they gotta still be good.

Chrom is garbage, Zelda is decent, and Isabelle is the best character in the game

It's one of the better ones in Ultimate.

Nowhere near Melee Falco obviously. Breaks my heart to see him good again but I just can't play him in this game.

It's impossible to play any character like you did in Melee in Ultimate.

Lol you're acting like it changed from Smash 4 to Melee. They still have excellent combo game and their only real downfall is their range. Certainly not enough to make them C tier lmao

It's a big enough change to not just copy and paste over the tier list. C tier isn't bad, it's just average strengths and weaknesses combined, especially with a roster this huge. I'd imagine the increased edgeguarding hurts them quite a bit, same for Cloud. I think Cloud is hella good and I'm maining him, but I'm not delusional enough to say that because he was top tier in 4, he's automatically top tier in Ultimate.

Since he has a sword, he has disjointed hit boxes which work in his favor. He also lacks Roys sweet/sour spots so he can actually space his moves properly. If you play him aggressively and pressure your opponents, youll see just how good he really is. His strengths far outweigh his weaknesses.

Joycons in the handle it comes with are adequate, the pro controller is perfect though. GC controllers aren't needed for this one since Nintendo finally got the stick placement right.

This, unless you care about absolute minimum input delay. GCube controllers are like a whole frame quicker than Joycon or Pro.

The Power A GameCube controllers are just as compatible with games as the pro controllers as it has all the additional buttons. Perhaps they're thinking about old gamecube controllers. Otherwise GC controllers are the way to go. Power A makes Bluetooth ones

Most likely its due to software/firmware that runs poorly to support the controller.

For real. Top tier recovery, two projectiles, two bury moves, multiple spikes, and a counter. Not to mention super armor out the ass.

His only downsides are his gold plate can break resulting in a shield break and he's a heavy so more area to hit, but all heavys deal with that.

none of these things except for his recovery make his kit especially good

he has all the flaws of any heavy

-he's slow and lumbering

-he's huge, combo food

-he can't get off the ledge

-his projectiles have a ton of startup and aren't very good (cannonball is arguably bad, but crown is a huge double edged sword with 27f startup and can be picked up/used against him, forcing him to be camped out)

He has good stuff, don't get me wrong, but there's a reason that Leffen has already dropped him from S to what, B tier? In just the last few days.

chrom has amazing on-stage utility in a way that little mac didn't due to his aerial game. He has both good ground moves and good aerial moves. I think he's overrated at the moment but he's undeniably much better than how people were expecting him to be.

and isabelle is not #1, no credible person believes this LOL (she's not bottom imo but nothing in her toolset makes her a clear #1 pick)
