I've been playing for about 2-3 days and I've unlocked 40 characters. You guys got everyone yet?

I just went through classic mode with most characters over the weekend, had everyone but Mr. Game and Watch by Sunday evening and got him the next morning before work

now i'm doing WoL and it's really ehhh after playing classic

Wolf was my second hardest unlock fight. For a good number of them I beat them on the first try but it was due to luck. It seems like the AI for those fights are really aggressive and combo happy

my hardest unlock was Robin. he killed me like 7 times before I just cheesed the fight with K.Rool

I don't like WoL much, classic mode is better. Is there a coop mode? That might improve things.

tbh I don't mind doing it with classic mode, I get to try out every character and understand some basic mechanics about them if nothing else. So far I seem to have an affinity for Marth (don't like him much as said earlier), Ganondorf (they changed him in some ways I like since Brawl, no knee though), ZSS, Wii Fit Trainer (kinda unsure about this one), Little Mac, Pale tuna, Corrin, Robin, Bayonetta, and maybe Inkling. I haven't unlocked Shiek who used to be one of my primaries, I haven't bothered with Falco because I couldn't use him after Melee, Ken is another potential but I had some problems with him.

I have about 10 characters left to get, with Chrom being the last newcomer in that group.

I really hate the order of the roster. Needs a custom order feature or at least an alternate series-ordered option

They should let you order it by franchise. Its really annoying if you want to switch between, say, Star Fox characters for example.

I hate to be that guy but 64 has actual true combos that look just as good. >_>

64 and Melee's level of combos won't be seen in a new Smash until Sakurai steps down tbh.

You sure? CUPs obey the same rules. They've never operated on something else. Also, if it's a spirit battle, you sure he didn't have a spirit giving him an extra jump?

Everything i remember about Fox and using Side B while off the ground is that he stalls out

but this fuck just straight up was like "fuck da rulez" and proceeded to jump then up B to recover

Got about 60 characters unlocked. Honestly, the amount of bullshit fights in WoL has only increased, so I think I'll just get the rest through classic mode.

You can in the arena but not for normal online. Hopefully they change it with a patch.

Any character can be good vs AI if you know how to cheese properly.

Also I was starting to hate the game til I played some decent online last night. Actually a ton of fun.

I might have found DK? But I don't think so. I've explored a lot on the left... unless there is stuff past the forest that doesn't seem to go any further left. I got Pac Man, Duck Hunt, Villager, Jiggs, various other characters I'm unhappy about.

Tbh I've only really used Link but some staple characters (like Samus) aren't available until later on(after you hit 3 switches and clear the blocked off area) and get rid of the canyon of light.

Just pick someone your decent with and if you find someone more preferable then swap.

Only Shiek, Marth, and Wii Fit trainer would really be in my top characters. And Shiek and Marth aren't as good as I remember. Fox seems ok but I just unlocked him.
