Maybe, just maybe, fresher food is a better alternative and most of us take that?

I buy bags of russet potatoes when I want a potato dish vs my mom buying bags of instant mashed potatoes.

I eat tuna in pouches. No can opener required.

Reading the article: According to the brand, sales for the tuna pouches are growing 20 percent annually, Wall Street Journal reported.

I ate the fuck out of the pouches when I was an air traffic controller. We couldn't leave our positions for lunch so if we didn't have someone to send for chow runs that was what I ate. Cheap, and the flavors they're rolling out are actually pretty good.

I've also cut myself on those pull tabs. I'm scared of them. Give me a nice, classic can opener any day of the week. Just think, as consumers, we have to pay for any additional costs associated with putting pull tabs on cans anyway...so why not make the process cheaper and more efficient by owning a can opener? Makes sense. Probably better for the environment, too.

I mean I understand this. Millennials tend to enjoy fresh foods. For some reason baby boomers still ate fucking canned food because their parents did too, so it became a thing at my house.

We grew up, and grew out of that shit

Canned tuna is nasty, so I'm not surprised.

Pretty much the only canned food I even bother buying is beans, everything else fresh all the way. I can still remember the nastiness of canned green beans and pears that my mom made me eat as a kid

What alternative is there if you're trying to get fish into your diet but don't want to spend a bunch of money? Canned tuna serves that purpose perfectly.

If millennials are truly spending their money on fresh fish instead of tuna, then that's probably part of the reason so many think they don't make enough money or can't afford to buy a house. Fresh fish is a luxury food.

I suspect that the people cutting themselves on pull tabs are doing it on some very sturdy and harder to open cans. I'm mostly comparing it to cans w/ pull tabs that are super easy to open. but I would think that tuna wouldn't be that hard to open since they're usually in smaller cans. you guys tell me i don't eat this shit
