As a drinker i love having friends who don't drink they usually drive and can usually get you out of shit when act a fool.

I'm completely fine with it. Someone mentioned the 'holier than thou' type, but I would say drinkers who look down on others are far worse.

My friends are always surprised when I say I'm not drinking that night. Or if I decide to only have one or two.

I very rarely drink. If I bought a 26 ounce bottle of liquor, it'd last me 3 months or more.

Most of my hobbies are also not well advised to do while drinking. Dirtbikes, quads, offroading, fabrication, carpentry, etc are all not activities you do while drinking. You're either going to fuck up your material or yourself.

Thing is that no one should be partying after they're like 25-30.

If it's because they prefer weed, cool.
If they have medical issues that mean they're best off avoiding alcohol, fine.

If they just don't like intoxication, I mean still, that's well within their right and I'm not going to give them shit about it, though I'll probably (privately) consider them a bit on the boring side for it.

And if they're obnoxious and in-your-face about it, they can get fucked.

Agreed. I used to know someone like that & he was annoying as hell.

However, I also know a couple of people who can't drink for medical reasons. And multiple people who had to stop because they were alcoholics.

Personally, I only drink socially.

I know one guy who looks 50, and he's only 32. He's a major, major alcoholic, and not exactly the nicest person, to put it lightly.

Not true. If were talking a casual/social drinker its no better/no worse. If were talking someone who is heading down the road of alcoholism then I agree. And not to say the drinker in that situation is a terrible person. Just that the non drinker is better off for themselves in comparison.

Don't be pressured into drinking by peers. Do it when you're ready. Or just buy yourself a bottle of wine or beer or cooler or whatever and just try it on your own so there's no pressure.
