Well, that would have been very surprising for Tifa Samus to flip or for Snake/Sonic to defy both the Auron and Zelda results.

2 people scored half points and survived. OrangeCrush980 and Cb7799 also did not have Mega Man and Crono winning yesterday.

12 people fell off the Second Chance Top 50. karate_chop, Darkwalker10, Kaxon, AwesomeTurtwig, PrinceKaro, LordAndrew, kiksea, Wiltedflower, Fearfuture, ToeKing, ZeroCopy and Stway didn't have Mega Man and Crono winning.

33 people got one wrong and mostly didn't move much on the Second Chance Top 50. Just dug out some stats on Gamespot Hero/Villain batttles from 09 and 10. Was pretty interesting to see the results. Gamespot had a much more varied taste compared to Gfaqs it seems

IF you're putting Mario above Zelda which you are if you have her in losers then She has no chance against Samus. Samus will put a higher % on Zelda than Mario. Quote me on that.

IF you're putting Mario above Zelda which you are if you have her in losers then She has no chance against Samus. Samus will put a higher % on Zelda than Mario. Quote me on that.

Heh. Looks like we did, in fact, just have one for the record books.

With a maximum lead of 478, Mega Man's win over Pikachu is the closest wire-to-wire match in which the loser never led past the freeze. (In fact, the wiki section on wire-to-wire leaders only requires that the eventual winner take the lead for good in the first hour, not that they do so before the freeze, but Mega Man had the lead at the freeze and never relinquished it.) This narrowly breaks the record set by Ike in 2013 in his Round 1 win over Proto Man (which was a 12-hour match)

The maximum lead of 478 is #19 overall, #12 among 1v1 matches, #9 among 24-hour matches, and #8 among 24-hour, 1v1 matches. 5 of the 8 24-hour matches ahead of it were also from this contest, including Pikachu > Mega Man which is in fact the current 24-hour record (1v1 or otherwise).

The final margin of 373 is at least briefly good for a spot in the top 25 for closest 1v1 matches by final margin, tying StarCraft's win over Halo for 25th place.

Thats when the Valve Steam Rallying started. I think Gordon won by like 10 votes or something I can't remeber but it was ridiculously close

There was a rally on Steam when Gordon Freeman was going up against Link. Valve began advertising the contest, making direct links to it within their Steam system. Afterward, Gordon Freeman's vote count shot up and Gordon Freeman beat Link by over 36,000 votes. To put the sheer number of Gordon Freeman votes into perspective, he got almost as many votes in this match as the entire vote total for Mario/Samus, held at the same time. In fact, Gordon Freeman had more votes than Bub & Bob did at the peak of their cheating.

There was also significant rallying from the Valve fanbase in order to earn Gordon his wins over Snake and Mario, but the Link match was the only time Valve felt threatened enough to link the match directly from within the Steam client

Hahahaha. Valve felt Threatened by Link so that Rally was the biggest. Thats how strong Link is. You cannot beat him without Mass Rallies. It's Impossible. Only way is to break the LAW.

So basically. Link would have most likely won anyway.

It takes Massive Company wide Rallies to Stop Link.

The primary leaderboard probably isn't changing much until Mega Man vs. Crono. Everything until then is going to be stuff that everyone gets right (like Samus today), or everyone gets wrong (like Snake today, who most would have picked Sonic or even Zelda).
