It's so overly stylistic (for better or worse)

Lol why is everyone treating him like crap. Just transferred to this new school and am crashing at my uncle's place and they're doing the typical "everyone sees character as a screw up" thing.

It's almost annoying to read the text when its presented like, at an angle due to how overly stylistic the game is. Like trying to read wordart on a Microsoft word document, remember that phase?

Because most of the game is cutscenes and reading texts, more of a visual novel than rpg.

people average between 80-120 hours on completion. at least 80% of that is gameplay. There is a lot of story, and half the game is the mundane, day to day school life stuff. But thats the charm of the persona series

and yeah, the entire game is super great. one chapter in specific is worse than the others, but other than that the entire game maintains its quality and is fantastic.

gameplay mechanics are the best in the series, music, characters and overall story vary

rank up with the doctor to level 7 as soon as possible. make it the first thing you do. at level 7, she sells accessories that regen your MP every turn. You want to buy 4 of the most expensive ones there that regen 7 every turn. You will use these accessories the entire game because they will fuel your spells and healing and your ability to complete dungeons in 1 day instead of 5.

theres a special character you get later on, lets call them the 5th party member. Once you get them, rank them up to 10 as soon as possible. put all other activities on hold until they are rank 10

I love FF and I've never played Persona. I'm debating buying this game

Nothing wrong with going back to the beginning, or at least starting at 3.

Some dude on GameFAQs wrote a pretty good spoiler-free guide that ensures you'll see all possible story content without missing any optional events or ruining the plot.

But it's a great game any way you slice it.

Its a great game except when I tried to replay it. The first third of the game feels like a restrictive tutorial.

Couldnt play it again.
