I realized I sort of did. When I was really young, one or two was fine. When I got a younger brother, we needed way more. He was one of the reasons. What about PotD?

Back when I was young, we often had several controllers for multiplayer. Still got multitaps for PS1 and PS2 even though I don't need them myself.

I was using the NES controllers that came with my system up until it died. The controllers still work, but they are pretty banged up from 30 years of usage. I did get a turbo controller for my SNES in addition to the ones that came with the system. It still worked when I sold my SNES off.

I was an only child and I took care of my video game systems so never needed anymore (unlike my toys, I usually broke them pretty easily).

Up until the PS1 I had 2 controllers for each system. With the PS1 and Gamecube I bought 4 controllers each. For the Wii I have about 6 or 7 remotes and 2 pro controllers. 2 of the remotes were mini ones for my kids when they were smaller. I have 4 PS4 remotes and I can't tell you how many Switch remotes I have because my kids leave them everywhere so it seems like we have a lot.

Yes, when I was younger, in my thirties, I built arcade controllers for my Atari 2600, 400, 800, 1200, Vic20, C64. Plus the Ataris had paddle controllers, keypad controllers, trackball controllers, specialized joystick controllers, etc. One of my C64 games even had a sound-activated controller. I added a real full-stroke keyboard to my 400 to replace the membrane keyboard.

Anything NES and earlier, probably 2 or 3. Up until the PS2 I averaged 4 or 5 controllers because of multitaps/multiplayer. Now I end up with 3, the version with the console and one or two extra when they're heavily discounted.

I proofread often enough... Haha. Especially when I'm at home. But at work, it depends. Plus, when reading over it, "you" and "your" look very similar. the "r" lost some weight these days. So it can be hard to her, you know?

Pretty much this, only no brothers. I've had a full set of controllers for every console up to the Switch (for which I have two sets of joycons and one pro controller, which is a full set for some games and not for others). For the Wii/WiiU, I've got 4 wiimotes+nunchucks, one classic controller, one CCP, and one WiiU pro controller, which doesn't necessarily add up to a full set per se, but it's close enough.

No I never had more than 1 controller when I had a console.
There wasn't any point.

I use to have a lot. Mostly because whenever the ally he cousins would meet up, we needed to have enough. Not matter who was there or whose house we went to. When my brother was born, we needed more since I could bring them all with me. Plus, he chewed on the joystick...
